Photography.

My interest in photography stems primarily from a fascination with the materiality and processes associated with analogue photography. With film allowing a variety of new image creating processes which I had never encountered before my degree, I was eager to experiment with darkroom photography and film development.  The world of analogue also allowed me to explore experimental photography techniques such as the creation of film soup and exposing both sides of film to allow unusual double exposures.

While I experimented with both colour and black and white photography, the ability of black and white film to explore shape and form and to emphasis contrast held my attention.
